Chapter 36 Kurapika's Thoughts
Chapter 36 Kurapika's Thoughts
These days flew by like a flash for Kurapika. Zaban is not a big fantasy town, nor is it a place with a lot of entertainment. It is very different from Yukexin City, but it doesn't matter to the four of Kurapika. They haven't seen each other for 8 months since their reunion in Youkexin City, and the four have a lot to do.At first, they just hang out in suites and coffee shops, telling each other how life is going.Kurapika doesn't talk much, but he catches the eyes of Kirua and Leorio from time to time when they think he is invisible and observe him quietly.
On Thursday afternoon, Kurapika really wanted to have some private time, he could lock himself in his room, but he had already read the book that Kuroro lent him before leaving, Kurapika didn't really want to post them Knock on the door and ask him to go out and spend some time together. The teenager loves his friends, but he has had no time, space and focus on his own things for months, and now he can finally be alone in his room quietly.Kurapika stayed in the bedroom all morning, and when he appeared in the living room, the other three all looked at Kurapika from the card game on the table.
Seeing that he was wearing a sports hoodie, Leorio asked, "Are you going out?"
"Yeah," the teen replied, "it's a bit crowded, I want to find a library or something."
"Hee." Gang made a face that made Kurapika chuckle.
"You should bring a fun game," Killua said.
"Hey!" Gang pursed his lips, "I love this game!"
"How could you like that?!" Killua asked in disbelief. "It has no sound effects, no controls, nothing. It's just dice and pieces—"
Leorio asked, "Do you want me to go with you?"
Kurapika shook his head apologetically. "I haven't been able to go to certain places by myself for months, Leorio." A smile played on his lips. "I'll be back around dinner time, okay?"
The would-be doctor looked a little frustrated, but he wouldn't force Kurapika. "Okay," he said, waving his hand, "see you tonight."
"Goodbye." Kurapika said and walked to the door.
"Kurapika," Killua's voice came from behind, "Buy a game back, a 'game'!"
Kuruta young man laughed and let the door close behind his back, and the voices of the other three people in the suite became almost inaudible. He took a slow breath in and out, and walked to the lift. The staff downstairs kindly pointed Kurapika in the direction of a municipal library in the city. The boy walked briskly towards the library, with his hands in the pockets of his sweatshirt.Today's weather is bright, and the air is filled with the breath of spring. Kurapika is walking on a narrow street that is only used by pedestrians, enjoying the feeling of the breeze blowing on his face. He suddenly feels that he has freedom. He was a bit sad and disappointed when he arrived at the library.
The library was bigger than Kurapika imagined, and he even found a few books that he had heard of before and only focused on the attractiveness of the title, but he never had time to borrow them to read.Kurapika chose a few books that looked more convincing, took them to the table and sat down to read them quietly. He opened the first book and unzipped the sweatshirt, pulling his arm out of the sweatshirt as he glanced at the first paragraph. After reading two chapters, Kurapika put the book aside, he discussed a lot on this topic after visiting the science museum with Kuroro, and this book has nothing new to teach Kurapika. There was only one chapter in the second book that appealed to the boy, and he only had 20 minutes to read it, Kurapika quickly scanning the rest of the text to make sure he wasn't really interested in anything else.Kurapika also put the book aside, and pulled out a third book from the stack -----
He paused.
"Great Painters of the Second Generation" was the title of the third book, a book he would never read before. The painting used for the book cover was seen with Kuroro when he was in Quedlin.Kurapika wasn't even sure why he picked up that book.Things got very, very messy. He sat back in his chair and read slowly ----- Kurapika wasn't reading the text, he was just looking at each work in the book, one after another, letting his mind go back to the past 7 months. In the beginning, the whole thing was very simple, with only black and white embellishments. He hated Kuroro, and poured all his anger on that man after his people were slaughtered.
But it's starting to change. At first, Kurapika slowly realizes that Kuroro is not the completely heartless monster he imagined. That thought -- that thought really irritated him.If Kuroro was really just a monster, if he really had no heart, no feelings and was an asshole, then there would be a reason for Kurapika's pain, but then the boy finds out that it has a reason, an existence reason. The fact that Kuroro had his people slaughtered and knew he didn't care made the Kuruta boy wrap his hands over his head -----
Didn't the man say something about it in the beginning? He said that if he knew there would be survivors, he would have killed Kurapika so that Kurapika wouldn't feel any grief.Back then he thought Kuroro was just trying to tease him, but now... now he doesn't know.Kurapika wasn't ready to believe Kuroro based on appearances.Everything Spider Boss does and says is wrapped in a layer of reason, lies and deceit. However, he appears to be honest in some facts.Kurapika realized that he had been staring at a painting for a long time, and the boy was not just looking at the contents of the book.He turned a page.
Then came the touching, Kuroro's warm hands on his body as he tended to the wound, and then the kisses.Kurapika should have bit him then, but he was frozen into a stone when Kuroro kissed him.If Kurapika bit him or punched him and nothing happened after that, that would be their end.Why didn't Kurapika think of that at the time? Why would he let it happen?Oh well, he froze then, because the idea of Kuroro doing something like that had never crossed the teen's mind.Kurapika turned another page.
But that date, it was a strange day from a different perspective. Then something shifted -- Kurapika wasn't sure what, he cared more about Kuroro after visiting the museum.Everything about Kuroro was troubling him—his appearance, his manners, his voice, everything.
Well, the picture looks pretty good.
And that night on Mount Sakagi, the way Kuroro touched himself...he should feel horrible and sick.If that happened before their agreement, Kurapika would stop him, punch him, bite his skin or die to stop him.But... Kurapika had let it happen again, and even thinking about that night now made his heart beat slightly faster.Kurapika bit his lower lip, fidgeting. There was no other explanation for the incident, he was getting sexual pleasure from the man he swore to kill, and he wanted more.
Kurapika stared down at the book, closed it firmly and placed it on the table. He rested one arm beside the book, and pressed his brow with the other in frustration. That was the core of the problem, Kurapika actually felt comfortable, he couldn't even look the spider boss in the eye after that.He dreaded, hoped, longed, dreaded that the man would do the same thing again, knowing that he was going to let it happen again, and that would be awful, that would be wrong.
But Kuroro didn't touch him again, not once.Among their no more and no less kisses, except for the first one, the rest were initiated by Kurapika.Kuroro asked him for a kiss, but he never forced the boy to do so.He must know what he's doing - he's toying with Kurapika's hand, and Kurapika still wants more.
"Sorry." A voice that sounded apologetic interrupted Kurapika's thoughts, and it made the boy jump slightly in fright.Kurapika looked at the librarian standing aside with surprise. "I'm sorry, sir," she said. "We're closing time. If you want to borrow a book, please go to the counter to check it out now."
"Ah, no." Kurapika let himself put on a smile, "I'm not a resident here, so I don't have a membership. May I know your opening time?"
"It's fine now," she said as she returned to her seat.Kurapika picked up the sweater on the back of the chair and followed the woman, and put on the clothes. "Here." The woman handed Kurapika a bookmark with the opening time written on it.
After Kurapika thanked her and walked out of the library, he walked for a while before returning to the hotel.By the time Kurapika returned to the suite, the sun had already set and the street was deserted. He glanced at the time on his phone, it was just past 6 o'clock, Kurapika heard the door being opened, Leorio poked his head out from the suite and looked at him, he waved his hand and walked towards Kurapika.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," Kurapika replied, "Where's Gang and Killua?"
"Sleeping." Leorio said, pointing to the room occupied by the two children: "Gon and Killua were arguing about the game and my head hurt, and when they calmed down, I went to have a look. Both fell asleep."
"Oh," Kurapika said, smiling slightly, shaking his head, "They haven't changed much."
"Hmm..." Leori looked at him quietly, Kurapika tried not to react, but the gaze became heavier and made him more and more nervous. Finally Leorio asked, "Going to have a good dinner?"
Kurapika hesitated for a moment, "Leorio..." He sighed softly and licked his lips, trying to figure out what to do.
"That's not it." Leorio said hastily, "Dinner between friends, understand?" Kurapika watched his face carefully. "It's just the two of us going out," Leorio emphasized. "Those two boys are driving me crazy. I really want a conversation that isn't about games and chocolate."
Kurapika smiled softly. "Okay," he said, "dinner among friends." Leorio frowned slightly, making Kurapika regret emphasizing the word "friend."
Leorio asked, "Is there anything you want to eat?" He tilted his head at Kurapika, "I can drive, so we don't have to walk so much, you still can't eat spicy food, Right?"
"Right," Kurapika said, walking to the coffee table to leave a note for Gang and Killua, saying that he and Leori would go out to dinner, and they could let him know if they needed it.Kurapika wondered what Killua would think, he never underestimated the observation ability of the young former assassin.Well, there's not much Kurapika can do about it. "Which country did Hanzo come from?" he asked Leorio after writing the note, "I like that thing I ate during the hunter exam."
"Okay." Leorio said, "I know where I'm going to take you for dinner."
Leorio and Kurapika went to the private car, the boy was in the passenger seat and Leorio was the driver. The silence between them was weird at first, but then Leorio started talking, and he told Kurapika some funny things that happened to him in class -- such as a crazy student who played a prank on their professor while they Those weird and ridiculous behaviors were so stupid and absurd that Kurapika couldn't help laughing out loud.
At the end, Leorio looked at Kurapika and said, "It's good to see you, Kurapika."
The Kuruta boy was taken aback by this statement, and he blinked. "Ah," Kurapika said uncomfortably, "Okay."
"It's good to see you." Leorio emphasized, after he parked the car in a small restaurant, which seemed empty of diners: "We're here."
Kurapika got out of the car and closed the door, well, this place looks nice: "Is the food here good?"
"No, I brought you here because I don't like it at all." There was a teasing arc on the corner of Leorio's mouth.
Kurapika shook his head, obviously amused. "Okay," he said, tilting his head at Leorio, "lead the way."
"Of course, Your Highness." Leo said vigorously, and Kurapika punched each other lightly on the shoulder, and they grinned at each other. Then Leorio put his arm on Kurapika's shoulder and led him towards the door, seemingly unaware of the boy's stiffening body.It was casual, not romantic, but it wasn't something Leorio used to do.Kurapika needs to talk to Leorio, even if it has already been set in the past -- he wants to be clear and bring out more bottom lines.
He just doesn't know how to start.

Tucao: Same as a driver, same head tilt, same gentleman (?), why is Kuroro super sexy when he does it, Leorio does it, I just want to draw Kuroro to Kurapika's side?
