Chapter 3400 Unexpected Events
The recording studio was brightly lit. Behind the soundproof glass, the children lined up in three rows, wearing their new red and white school uniforms. Their little faces were rosy and their eyes were sparkling.
"Is everyone ready?" the sound engineer asked through the microphone.
"Ready!" the children answered in unison, their voices filled with excitement.
Xiao Bai stood in the center of the front row, holding a lyric book, looking like a little conductor.
She cleared her throat and gave an "OK" sign to the sound engineer outside the glass.
As the music begins, the gentle piano notes flow like starlight.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are..."
The children's choir began to sing, their voices clear and innocent, each singing their own, creating a chaotic scene.
Standing in the back row, Liu Liu stared wide-eyed for a moment, clearly not expecting the singing to be so chaotic.
But seeing that the recording engineer didn't say anything, she decided not to care, which was even better! That way, she could sing to her heart's content.
She tried her best to sing every note accurately. This was a song written by Boss Zhang, and she had to perform well and not let down the promise made by the singer of "I Am a Little Sun".
Her pitch was higher and her voice was louder than the other children's, making her stand out from the crowd.
The recording engineer was both amused and exasperated, but he didn't interrupt them, intending to let the little ones sing the song completely once to familiarize themselves with it.
He only began to correct me on the second reading.
It wasn't until the Nth time that the children's chorus finally became synchronized.
The sound engineer nodded slightly at the control panel; however, an unexpected event could occur at any moment.
During the second verse, Xiao Youyou, who was standing next to Robin, suddenly sneezed loudly:
"Ah!"
The sound was transmitted clearly through the microphone.
The music continued, but the children were stunned. They looked at each other, unsure whether they should continue singing.
"Stop, stop."
The sound engineer pressed the pause button and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Shall we start over?"
Little Youyou said in a slightly bewildered tone, "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it."
Dudu patted her shoulder and said, "It's okay, my mom said that sneezing means someone is thinking of you!"
"Really?" Xiao Youyou's eyes lit up.
"Of course! Maybe your mom is wondering when you're coming home."
The second recording started smoothly, but halfway through, another accident occurred.
This time it's Robin.
She was so engrossed in her singing that she unconsciously started gesturing wildly. As she turned around, her elbow bumped into the lyric book in Xiao Wang's hand.
"Splash—"
The lyric book flew out, its pages scattering in the air and falling like snowflakes.
"Ah! My lyrics!" Xiao Wang exclaimed.
Robin quickly apologized: "I'm sorry, Xiaoxuan! I didn't mean to!"
The children burst into laughter, and even the sound engineer outside the glass couldn't help but chuckle. An assistant rushed in to help pick up the lyric books, while Xiao Bai sighed, hands on his hips, "Robin, be more careful!"
"Auntie, I'll be more composed, I'll be more composed." Robin nodded repeatedly, obediently putting his hands behind his back.
The third recording finally came to a successful end, and it looked like we were about to be completely finished...
"Cluck cluck—"
The croaking of frogs sounded particularly jarring in the quiet recording studio.
"What's that sound?!" Xiaobai's eyes widened as she scanned the entire room.
The children looked at each other in confusion. Finally, Tian Xiaoya raised her hand and said, "Xiaobai, it's my alarm clock that's ringing... I need to drink some water..."
The sound engineer put his hand to his forehead, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
Xiao Bai was speechless: "Quickly, turn off the alarm clock."
"Report: It's already closed!"
Would you like some water?
"I'm not thirsty."
After some effort, the audio recording of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" was finally completed at 8:30 pm.
Xiao Bai then announced, "Next, we'll be filming the music video. Everyone, take a ten-minute break, have some water, and then we'll film in the yard!"
The children cheered and ran out of the recording studio.
Liuliu rushed to the water dispenser and drank three cups of water in a row. She had sung so hard that her throat was burning.
Robin ran to the mirror and carefully examined his "modified" school uniform. The poster on his chest was still firmly attached, and the colorful paper animals shimmered under the light.
"Xiwawa, do you think my clothes are okay?" she turned and asked Xi'er.
Xi'er exclaimed, "It's beautiful! It looks like it was specially designed!"
Xiao Bai lectured, "You should call her Sister Xi'er. Do you think you can call Xi'er 'Baby' like that?!"
"Sister Xi'er!"
Just then, the sound of a car engine came from the gate. A white pickup truck stopped outside, the door opened, and the clothing company employee from the afternoon phone call jumped out, carrying a clothing bag.
"Is Xiaobai here? The urgent school uniforms have arrived!" she called out into the yard.
Little White ran over upon hearing the sound: "Coming, coming!"
The staff handed her the bag of clothing: "This is Robin's school uniform, urgently remade to the original size, and there's also..."
She then took out a folder from her bag: "The invoices are ready, Mr. Bai, please take a look."
Xiao Bai took the clothing bag and invoice, glanced at the amount, and waved his hand arrogantly: "Okay! Thank you for your hard work! I'll keep the invoice and have the finance department make the payment tomorrow."
He had the air of a big boss.
The staff member smiled and said, "Mr. Bai, you're too kind. It's our honor to serve you and the children."
"Auntie! Is this my new dress?" Robin bounced over.
"It's yours, take it."
Xiao Bai handed her the clothing bag.
"Go change quickly, you'll need to wear this for the music video later."
Robin held the bag of clothes but didn't go to change immediately.
She glanced at the brand-new red and white school uniform in the bag, then looked down at her own "story-filled" modified version, a conflicted expression on her little face.
"What's wrong? Don't you like the new one?" Xiaobai asked.
Robin shook his head and said softly, "I like this one... the one with the poster."
Xiao Bai was taken aback for a moment, then understood and laughed, "Then it's up to you, wear whichever one you want."
"really?"
"real!"
Robin was then happy and decided to continue wearing the dress with the poster.
Ten minutes later, all the children regrouped in the yard to prepare for filming the music video.
As night deepened, the Little Red Pony Academy remained brightly lit. The staff had set up the lighting equipment, and Little White was carrying a camera, intending to go on stage himself.
Zhang Tan and Lao Li sat on chairs in the distance, watching from afar. Zhang Tan had no intention of helping; Xiao Bai could handle it.
His gaze fell on Xiaobai, who was directing the children to their positions. The little guy was becoming more and more like a leader.
When filming began, Xiaobai had the children hold hands and form a circle, singing and spinning around at the same time.
But when the children got excited, they couldn't control their spinning speed and it got faster and faster...
"Slow down, slow down!" Xiaobai shouted hurriedly.
But it was too late. The children in the center of the circle were thrown about by the centrifugal force, giggling as they fell to the ground.
The little ones on the outer circle also fell down, one on top of another, laughing together.
Liu Liu deliberately pressed down on Zhou Zizi and Tian Xiaoya, causing the children to scream in pain.
Xiao Bai quickly captured this natural and joyful moment.
Next comes a close-up shot.
Each child had to sing a line of lyrics individually in front of the camera and make a cute expression.
When it was Liu Liu's turn, she took a deep breath, flashed her brightest smile at the camera, and sang with all her might: "Hanging in the sky, shining brightly—"
