Chapter 731: Promoting the Dharma and Establishing Faith
Let the wild foxes return to the grass and go to where they are needed.
Everyone couldn't help but ponder.
If someone said something uncouth, Yehu might sneer at it.
People go to higher places, and water flows to lower places. In such a big world, how many successful people are willing to live in a small place?
Carp leap over the Dragon Gate, hit their heads and bleed. Thousands of them die before the Dragon Gate, but not a single one of them is willing to turn back.
What's more, after returning to the wilderness, they did not act tyrannically, but instead reclaimed the barren land.
But since it was Gong Mengbi who said this, they had to think carefully about his intentions.
There was also a frank and straightforward fox who raised his hand and asked, "Master, do you want us to return to the wilderness and give up the prosperous place?"
The foxes beside her were startled and looked up at her with a hint of admiration in their eyes.
Gong Mengbi looked over and laughed, "Gan Rou, why is it you?"
Gan Rou's face flushed red, and she said, "I just saw that everyone has such doubts."
Gong Mengbi knew that they had such doubts and suspected that this was a mandatory order rather than a so-called "opportunity."
"I've already said, if you have other ambitions, follow your own first."
"But with the precedents of your brothers and sisters, a prosperous place does not necessarily mean a suitable place to live. The more prosperous it is, the more popular it is, the more popular it is, and the more prosperous the gods are. You need to be able to endure the trials of the world, withstand the supervision of ghosts and gods, and maintain the state of hiding in the city, so that you can maintain your practice in a prosperous place. Otherwise, with the temptations of the world and the hardships of the secular world, I am afraid you will not live longer than ordinary people."
"But in the countryside, people are few and far between, and ghosts are flourishing. With your abilities, you can tell fortunes, eliminate disasters, cure diseases and exorcise ghosts, and you can already make a difference. It's certainly not easy to spread faith for the Queen, but once you succeed, the incense and good deeds will all be yours. Even if it's hard to make progress in your practice, having such merits will be enough for you to switch to practicing ghosts, or be reborn into a good family."
Gong Mengbi said: "Your Majesty's grace is like the light of the sun and moon, and the virtue of rain and dew. I really ask for nothing. I summoned you here not to force you to do this. Spreading the Dharma and establishing faith is by no means an easy task."
"But if we can't go to the wilderness, others will. Tolerating evil ghosts to claim to be gods and fooling people to kill people, why not obey the grace of the goddess and seek good results with good karma?"
The foxes all fell into deep thought, perhaps realizing something.
Gong Mengbi concluded by saying, "This is the third reason why I called you here, to encourage you to return to the countryside, spread the Dharma and establish faith, and drive out the evil spirits and demons from places where no one is willing to go."
Then, Gong Mengbi called out, "Daqiu, Erqiu, Sanqiu, come forward."
Daqiu led Erqiu and Sanqiu out from the corner and walked towards the moonlight.
At this time, all the foxes focused their eyes on the three of them, ignoring the leading Daqiu and focusing their eyes on the second and third Qiu.
Second and third Qiu were so frightened that their legs trembled, revealing their true form as weasels, hiding their long and thin bodies behind Big Qiu.
Da Qiu stood in front of them and looked at Gong Mengbi with a pleading look.
Gong Mengbi patted his shoulder. Erqiu and Sanqiu stood on both sides. The magical thing was that under Gong Mengbi's gaze, their nervousness slowly disappeared. There was an invisible thing supporting them, allowing them to stand safely under so many gazes.
Gong Mengbi said, "These are Erqiu and Sanqiu, the first batch of non-fox students in Fox Academy."
"What do you mean?" Fox understood.
"Will there be more 'foxes' who are not of the fox genus in the future?"
"why?"
Gong Mengbi said: "This is the opportunity that emerged after the destruction of Wutong."
"First, they are like us wild foxes, wild monsters with no control or education. They roam freely in the wilderness, living during the day and dying at night, or turning into evil spirits."
"Since wild foxes can be educated, why can't they be educated?"
"But you can rest assured. Fox Court is under the jurisdiction of Heavenly Fox Court. If you are not a fox, you must first pay respect to the Queen Mother of Mount Tai and be under the control of the Yue Mansion. You must also pay all expenses, including tuition and Taoist teachings, by yourself. You cannot be recommended to enter Heavenly Fox Court and take up the opportunity of Foxes."
"Secondly, it's what I just told you. In the wilderness, in the wilds, where righteous gods are hard to come and ghosts stay, more people are needed to obey the grace of the goddess, spread the Dharma and establish faith, so as to calm the people's hearts and eliminate evil spirits. They are allowed to join the Fox Court because after they leave, they need to follow the orders of the Yue Mansion and do good deeds and accumulate virtues in the wilderness."
Gong Mengbi looked at the foxes, with a hint of warning in his tone, and said, "I will take this opportunity to inform everyone of this matter while gathering everyone together."
"What do you think? You can think about it slowly after you go back. If you intend to return to Caoye and need help and guidance from Fox Court, you can ask or write to me at any time. Although Fox Court cannot help you to open up the wild land of Caoye, it can provide you with some necessary advice."
"There are some very outstanding brothers and sisters among you who are already doing the work of the gods and witches, and are doing the work of spreading the Dharma and establishing faith. You can also ask them for advice."
Having said that, there is no need to waste any more words or exhortations; they will always figure it out on their own.
There is something a bit weird about the fox's nature. If it opens its arms to others, it will not be very attractive. But once there is competition, it will not fall behind no matter what.
Gong Mengbi smiled and said, "Let's talk about something lighthearted. I called you all here from far away. If I don't let you gain something, I'm afraid you will go back and secretly scold me in the middle of the night."
"There are quite a few strange and bizarre things in my dojo. Those of you who came early must have already found many of them. Most of them are reflections of my Taoist magic. Whether you can feel anything from them depends entirely on your own understanding. I can't teach you."
"But there are some things I can teach you, and look up."
The foxes looked up and saw a bright moon hanging high in the sky.
It is like a mirror in the sky, illuminating the whole world.
In that bright mirror, it seemed that there was a god walking vaguely.
The mirror slowly turned, revealing an extraordinary aura. This aura kept changing, and the gods and men in the bright moon also kept changing.
The aura changed twelve times in a row, and the god in the moon also changed twelve times in a row.
The fox was dazzled. The bright moon seemed to be the moon of today, and the moon of ancient times. It seemed to be the real moon, and the moon in a dream.
Gong Mengbi's voice sounded slowly in their ears, like a gust of wind or a gust of fog blowing under the moon, cold and misty.
"There are twelve months in a year, and twelve gods in each month."
"I have taught you the method of offering sacrifice to the moon. Today, I will also teach you the method of offering sacrifice to the twelve moon gods."
